“ This is delicious and worth a stop! The restaurant is farm to table with local farmsfarmers mentioned where applicable on the menu. There is a nightly special so make sure to ask about that. Service and atmosphere were wonderful. We got the mahi mahi and the filet. Both were delicious, perfectly cooked and paired well with the infamous Merrimans Mai Tai. Its quite sweet so if you are not into super sweet cocktails, it may not be your favorite beverage. We had a delicious anniversary dessert truly a lovely dinner! ”

“ My wife and I had a fantastic dinner on our last night in Kauai. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short because we had found out that my wifes mother was not doing well and needed to head home. She was quite upset and it was a very emotional day for us for sure. The one thing she wanted to do before we left the island was to have a nice dinner at Merrimans. Our server, River, asked how our day was going when he first met us. My wife told him the story and broke down a bit, but he was very kind and compassionate listening to her. He also asked if he could give her a hug, which was exactly what she needed at the moment. River did an excellent job checking in on us and chatting with us during the evening to make sure our dinner went perfectly. We really appreciated his support during this time and could not have asked for a better server or therapist at that moment!. Bravo, River for helping us out on one of the most difficult nights of our life! Unfortunately my wifes mother passed away that evening as we arrived at the airport to fly home. Our amazing dinner at Merrimans and River in particular really helped us on our last night in Kauai ”

Our waitress was amazing, she has been there about 6 years, black hair, deep red lipstick if that helps identify her, sorry I didnt catch her name, said she had been to Texas twice, but she was amazing as a server and waitress, excellent customer service!! Definitely recommend, two thumbs up, we will definitely be back! ”

Every time I visit a Merrimans, the experience is flawless, and Poipu was no exception. We started with the ceviche appetizer, which was out of this worldincredibly fresh, bright, and bursting with flavor. The shrimp appetizer was also delicious, perfectly cooked and packed with islandinspired goodness. For my entree, I had the steak and fish combo, and it was absolute perfectionexpertly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and beautifully presented. “ Spent Thanksgiving in Hawaii, and it was also my boyfriends birthday! My friend recommended this restaurant . Lets just say thats why were friends! The food, vibez, atmosphere, service and DRANKS were top notch!!! We will definitely be visiting again when we return! It was six of us. Some of them were picky eaters, but they were all expressed with everything! We ordered the steak, fish, crab cake and desserts. We all shared the meals. Small portions, but worth every bite! This place is perfect for large parties, date night or work besties. Its conveniently located upstairs a shopping plaza on the island. PS If youre unable to walk up the stairs, theres a elevator too! “ The food and atmosphere was amazing. My wife and I both had the surf and turf. The Fish was much better than steak. The steak was still good though. I also had a fresh local salad that included avocado and mangoes. It was very good. The wine selection was very good as well. You could see the sunset from pretty much anywhere in the restaurant the service was a solid four out of five. ”
